Iranian Offshore Oil Company · Kish Island
Rebuilding reliability, restoring power — offshore.
Comprehensive overhaul, engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of the rotating equipment of the Alvand offshore drilling rig.
Project overview
For the Iranian Offshore Oil Company's Kish operational area, Kahroba Tavan is executing the basic overhaul of the Alvand jack-up rig's rotating machinery — air compressors, electromotors, mud pumps, purifiers, fans, mixers and diesel pumps — including redesign and fabrication of custom components.
Under international sanctions, some critical parts — notably purifiers — could not be sourced; partnering with knowledge-based companies, the team designed and manufactured a domestic portable purifier from scratch, exceeding the operational requirements of the offshore environment.
